ear training with SOUNDGYM

SoundGym is included with your Futureproof membership. It helps you train the listening skills you need for mixing, sound design, arrangement, and finishing better tracks.

We recommend practicing at least 3 times per week. Short sessions are fine. Ten focused minutes is enough to build the habit.

How to Set Up Your SoundGym Account

1. Get your Futureproof school code

 Click here to check your message inbox for the SoundGym signup code.

2. Create a free SoundGym account

Go to the SoundGym website and sign up for a new account.

Important: use the same username you use with Futureproof if possible. This helps us match your SoundGym account to your student profile.
Choose the free membership option during signup. Your Futureproof license will be added after your account is linked to our school.

3. Finish the SoundGym onboarding

SoundGym may ask you to create a practice plan and complete a few listening challenges. Go ahead and finish those steps. They help SoundGym place you at the right starting level.

4. Join the Futureproof school inside SoundGym

After your SoundGym account is active:
  • Click your avatar in the top-right corner of SoundGym.
  • Open Account Settings.
  • Go to the School tab.
  • Paste your Futureproof school code.
  • Click Join.

Once you join with the school code, you will appear in our SoundGym school dashboard. We will activate your included license from there.

5. Tell us you joined

After you enter your code in SoundGym, enter your SoundGym name below:

By following these steps, you'll be linked to the Futureproof account on SoundGym and we'll assign you a paid license. This will give you full access and allow us to track your progress.


If you did not receive your SoundGym code, cannot find the School tab, or entered your code but still do not see access after one business day, message @johnvon or ask for help in Discord.
